Someone at the cafe is actually using a 1st gen blue iBook. They are also selling handmade candles off their table, which is on the sidewalk, and she is knitting too.
i had a client try to have me work on one of these this month... it needed a new logic board, and he was able to find another working comp of its generation on ebay for like $50, and he wanted me to remove the MLB from the ebay machine and install it into his dead machine... which would prob be a good 2hrs, seeing as how i know nothing about outlandishly old ibooks... now, the key part of this story is the fact that we charge $120 per hour. people have very skewed views on what is and is not worth fixing when it comes to computers.
speaking of which... how is the Rockstar damaged macbook doing?
